There exist seed oils and essential oils that can improve and even eliminate intrinsic wrinkles, improve sagging skin around the jawline and eyes, increase cell regeneration, and rebalance skin discoloration.
The aging of your skin can be discussed as two entities: chronological and environmental. Your skin is the largest organ of the body and it functions as the necessary interface between the internal and the external environment. Utilizing specific plant and seed oils both carrier and essential oils will help minimize wrinkles and in some cases eliminate them. Plant oils can increase the skin cell regeneration time which will improve the appearance of your skin, by making it look younger and more vibrant. The difference between youthful skin and older skin is the regeneration time of new skin cells and healthy collagen which is the main structural protein in the extracellular matrix found in the body’s various connective tissues. I’d like to talk about Rosehip seed oil in particular, which is a carrier oil (not to be confused with an essential oil, which it is not), and how rose hips seed oil can help improve your skin.
As I’ve aged I’ve realized that time stops for no one, and for those who are blessed with growing old enough to see their children’s children, I think finding gratitude for growing old is essential. That being said, I certainly still have the desire and the ability to stay as healthy and young as possible for as long as I can. As I mentioned aging is chronological but what of the environmental aging element. The environment that we surround ourselves in has a great impact on how we age. Everything from airborne toxins like cigarettes and pollution, clean or not water, healthy and unhealthy food choices as well as alcohol, sugar drinks, caffeine, stress, even being negative can impact your skin, not to mention poor hygiene habits and lack of sleep. Your skin being the largest organ of your body will reveal the overall health and wellness within your body. Symptoms can manifest on the skin when there are issues within, symptoms such as acne in teens occur because of the hormonal changes that come with puberty. When the immune system defends itself to keep microorganisms, such as certain bacteria, viruses, and fungi, out of the body, then we can experience rashes, watering puffy eyes, skin that itches or may appear blotchy, sometimes hives appear, liver issues can make the skin appear yellow, my point is that your skin can and does reveal a multitude of things going on within your body. I have dedicated the last 20 years of my life to studying plants and how they relate to the human body and I have discovered that we can improve the condition of the skin and its appearance with plant oils such as the beautiful rosehip seed oil. We can help our body and skin first off by living with balance, for example, I still drink coffee and have wine, I eat sweets from time to time, I’ve been known to lose sleep over laughter with family and friends, I for sure won’t give up my side-sleeping knowing full well that my puffy pillow creases my skin nor will I give up on my daily gardening in the sun and outdoor exercise so let’s discuss one of thousands of amazing plants that help slow down and even improve the aging of your skin.
Beautiful Rose hips seed oil which is a carrier oil not to be confused with an essential oil is considered a super oil by botanists for its high levels of healthy fatty acids. So what exactly is a Rosehip? Rosehip seed oil is a pressed seed oil, extracted from the seeds of the wild rose bush Rosa rubiginosa (Spanish: rosa mosqueta) in the southern Andes. Rosehip seed oil can also be extracted from Rosa canina, which grows in many regions of the world including South Africa and Europe. In particular, rosehip seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the wild rose bush and they are the byproduct of a rose once bloomed. Fresh rose hips contain a lot of vitamin C, so some people take it as a source of vitamin C in tables to prevent and treat colds, flu, and vitamin C deficiencies. Rosehip seed oil benefits for your skin, hair, and nails are tremendous, it is a popular anti-aging substance in the beauty community, though research supporting its benefits is limited. Rosehip seeds are very high in polyunsaturated fats, which support the healthy skin membrane and protect your skin from inflammatory compounds, such as ultraviolet (UV) rays, cigarette smoke, and pollution. It is very high in essential fatty acids: linoleic acid or omega-6, and α-linolenic acid or omega-3. Commission E research on rosehip oil has shown that it reduces skin pigmentation, discoloration, acne lesions, scars, and stretch marks, and helps retain the moisture of the skin delaying the appearance of wrinkles. It is truly an amazing seed oil and due to its heavy nature, it is suggested that the use of it topically should be up to five (5) percent of any formula.
I love adding Rosehip seed oil to many of my skincare creations, some of which are, our best selling rejuvenation facial cream Viso di Fiori Facial Moisturizer – Day, which was created specifically for Mature, Aging or Environmentally damaged skin, the Viso Night-Time Cell Regeneration Serum, the exceptionally healing and cell rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle Botanical Serum 50+ (for women over 50) and Anti-Wrinkle Botanical Serum 40+ for women over 40. KiVi Rejuvenating Eye Cream and KiVi Flawless Eye’s Serum also have the beautiful rosehip seed oil and lastly but not the least are KiVi Rejuvenation Mineral Masque and Nourishing Honey Love Facial Masque. Let us not forget the body, KiVi has created an amazing everyday body serum that nourishes the skin, unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. Our Everyday After Sun UV Mender will nourish, protect, heal and moisturize your skin leaving it toned, moisturized, and vibrant. In essence, Rosehip seed oil is a big favorite of mine when it comes to formulating my skin creations. I like to refer to my products as “topical vitamins for the skin” that help improve your skin and will never ever harm your body with synthetics or preservatives. Wrinkles will make their appearance even if you choose not to laugh and sleep only on your back, while others may be experiencing that they may appear to look older than you actually are, which is known as premature aging of the skin, usually a symptom of what I referred to earlier as environmental aging caused by lifestyle choices. I believe that we can always make things better with a little effort, every day is a new day and with each new day, we can make better choices than yesterday. Small changes that may include eating better, drinking plenty of water, getting adequate sleep, and putting clean healthy plant-based products on your skin will help it recover rapidly. Rosehip seed oil is just one of the many gifts that this planet has to offer and I’m so happy to include its rejuvenating benefits in our products.
