Soaps or alcohol-based cleansers will cause the sebaceous glands to overproduce oil to compensate for the stripping of the natural skin oils and this is double trouble for acne-prone or oily complexion skin types. Using a lightweight oil such as jojoba which is the most similar seed oil to our own sebum or grapeseed oil (we use both in our cleanser) is wonderfully lightweight and non-disturbing to the skin. These two oils give the perfect amount of gentle moisturizing without leaving the skin feeling oily or waxy. The herbs which are infused in our base oils (unique to other commercial bands)are measured to provide tonic and astringent properties which help the pores from getting dirt trapped inside as well as aiding to tighten them. We combined this beautiful-based blend with a synergistic blend of anti-microbial, antiseptic, and anti viral essential oils and tonic Clary sage water. I’ve been using this cleanser for 20 years and have never once had a breakout, additionally great is that this moisturizer is a wonderful shaving cream for men!
- Toning the skin is really hydration of herbal or floral water which helps to close the pores and rehydrate the skin. KiVi Pure Rose, Neroli, Cooling Chamomile, and Lavender Toners are all excellent at hydrating and aiding re-balance of the skin’s natural pH level.
